A ball of fluff appeared one day.

Where it came from – who can say?

It rolled around the Kitchen floor.

And stopped just by the cupboard door.

Two ears appeared, a nose and eyes.

Four paws – and then- to my surprise.

The little ball of fluff and stuff said

“I’ve arrived”, with lots of Woof

Harvey was our first Show Champion and a very special dog.  Harvey had the most loving nature but with, at times, that typical Irish naughtiness. The last 12 years has flown by, it seems like only yesterday we picked up that little bundle of fun but it all goes by much too quickly. So many happy memories that can never be taken away but we miss him more each day.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow

I am the diamond glint on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning hush

I am the uplifting rush

Of quiet birds encircled flight

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there, I did not die.

 

Harvey lives on in our hearts and thoughts forever.
